A great way to save money on gas is to shop places that have customer VIP cards where you earn points for cents off your gas. Also, if you are on WIC and you get formula I always swipe my VIP card to get points from that purchase because formula is very expensive and one check usually comes out to around $100 and I have 4 of them! So I earn points for gas and today I got 30 cents off and spent the least amount on a tank I gas that I have in who knows how long! I'm writing this post because I used to get my formula and WIC stuff from Walmart and it just occurred to me that I could have been earning points on a card for a long time and I should have taken advantage of that earlier.

Twins' First Halloween with the Family!
The Twins had their very first Halloween today! I have to say, they might have enjoyed it a little, but mostly they were a little fussy. Noah and his friend Tyler had a blast together. They were so cute running around to the houses and they were so good at remembering to say "Trick or Treat" and "Thank You". This is the first Halloween that Noah actually participated in and had fun. Last year we made it to three houses and it was time to go home, he was not polite and he was very crabby. This was a very memorable Halloween and I'm glad that I had my wonderful kids and husband to share it with.

Activity Saucer
I bought this yesterday at Sam's Club for $50. It is the Baby Einstein brand called "Baby Neptune Activity Saucer". The twins are practically swimming in it and can't even touch the bottom but they love all the little toys and are grabbing for them and can even turn themselves around to play with something different...very slowly. I never had one of these with Noah and now I don't know why! I love this one in particular because there is A LOT of toys around it and I have seen some that are a little scarce on the toys.

Amigurami....
Free Pattern from Ferret Lady on Ravelry.com
This is my almost done elephant that I tried to make. The Amigurami stuff looks so cute but it is soooo tedious so I give props to any of you that makes these things on a regular basis. I love making all the different parts, but putting them all together is not that easy. The ears on my elephant aren't symmetrical, the legs kind of look like they are different sizes and I know for a fact that the trunk of my elephant is too big. I followed the pattern, but I think I need more practice with these projects....or maybe I should just stay away from them. Yes, my elephant is missing his eyes too, but I only have buttons so I need to go buy some animals eyes to finish it.

Podee Bottle
Amazing!!! Best invention ever! I just got my Podee bottles in the mail today and am trying it out. There are a lot of parts to it but it is worth it. Liam and Kadence were both hungry at the same time and I was home by myself so it was the perfect opportunity. It takes a couple sucks to get the formula flowing but Liam drank almost his whole bottle by himself. I would not recommend this bottle just to be lazy and not feed your kids because I think that feeding time is great bonding time. However, this bottle is great for when you are out and about and your baby is screaming in the car, or you are at the store or mall. It's also good for restaurants. We don't go out to eat because we know that as soon as we get our food the babies will want to eat and sometimes it's just hard to plan around feeding times. With one baby we used to feed Noah and then pass him off so at least one parent could eat. You can't do that with twins because a lot of the time they both want to be held or fed at the same time. The great thing about this bottle is that it is a hands free bottle but it isn't a "bottle holder". If your baby starts choking or coughing the nipple will fall right out of his mouth. Of course, you should always monitor your baby while he is eating too. This bottle will definitely make our outings much more enjoyable and a lot easier.

Unique Baby Bottles and Holders
Has anyone ever used one of these? I'm going to buy one and test it out! It looks like a lazy way to feed a baby but when you have two of them I think it would be a great investment especially if I have to feed both of them by myself at the same time. Ordering on Amazon now, and will give you an update when I give it a thumbs up or down!
Also thinking of buying a bottle holder. Again, may seem like a lazy way to feed your baby but two babies screaming for food gets a little stressful especially when you are in the car.

Twin slings!
| "The Twin Trexx" |
Ok, my friend Brittany sent me a link for twin baby carriers http://www.twin-pregnancy-and-beyond.com/twin-baby-carriers.html and a couple look decent, but the two above are ridiculous but they are the ones that you can actually use as the twins get older. The 3 below look more practical BUT they are only for smaller babies. The 2nd pic says its only for babies up to 10lbs.

The one that I like the most is the 3rd pic which is a Moby Wrap. It is basically a really long piece of fabric that you wrap around yourself and it hold the baby in...and go figure, I already have one of these!! So, when I have an extra set of hands (because I won't attempt to try and wrap and put the babies in by myself I will post a picture of my success or failure and let you know if my shoulders aren't killing me after 5 minutes. BTW, the sling that I use right now with just one baby in it is a "seven sling". And I love it. You can get it at www.sevenslings.com
Portable Soother
I just picked this up today at Walmart while I was looking for baby toys to put on carseat handles. This is a portable baby soother and it is pretty much just a little pillow that vibrates but I have a bouncer that I got before I had Noah and it doesn't vibrate anymore. I tried new batteries and everything and it is pretty much dead but it is a really comfy little bouncer. So I thought I would give this little doo-dad a try and the babies LOVE it! It really does
"soothe". Plus, it is portable so you can put it in their swing or their car seat (even though it says not to put it in their car seat), and a picture on the front of the box shows a mom holding her baby with the soother on baby's back.
Definitely put one of these on your registry! It is one of those things that you never knew you needed.

Onesie Secret
I recently found this out about onesies. Did you know that the reason why they have that layered part at the neck is so that you can pull it down off the baby's body instead of pulling it up over their head in a case of a poopy explosion that gets all over their clothes?? I did not know when I had my first baby. It could have been very useful knowledge in one particular event.
It is the most memorable trip to Barnes & Noble that I ever took. Noah was a little over a month old and my friend came to Arizona because both of our husbands were deployed to Iraq at the time. We decided to go shopping, of course, and brought the little guy. We ended up at Barnes & Noble which ended up being our last stop because Noah had what we like to call an "assplosion". His onesie was full of it, it car seat was full of it...it was awful. There was no way possible that the stuff was not going to get on my hands, I just had to go for it to clean him up as well as the car seat. (BTW I'm pretty sure I pulled the onesie up over his head b/c I didn't know about the purpose of the layered neck). It was pretty much the exact moment I understood that you need to pack your diaper bag for the unexpected b/c I didn't bring him extra clothes. So we drove home with Noah in just his diaper and cleaned out car seat (as much as could get clean). Don't worry he got a bath right away!
The point of this story, is that onesie's are amazing in ways that you didn't even know. They aren't just cool because they have snappies at the crotch to easily access a diaper change.
